Open positions
We are building a disciplined investment team.
Four open roles across investment, acquisitions, and asset management.
Investment Analyst
You will support deal evaluation, financial modeling, and portfolio monitoring across Northstone's real estate and private credit strategies. You will build underwriting models, prepare investment memos, and assist with due diligence on active transactions. This is a high-exposure role with direct access to senior investment professionals.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or real estate finance
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel, with ARGUS experience a plus
- CFA progress is valued; undergraduate degree in finance or related field required
- Excellent written communication for investment committee memos and client reporting
Portfolio Manager
You will manage a portfolio of real estate and private credit investments from acquisition through disposition. That includes quarterly performance reviews, working with asset management teams on value creation plans, and presenting portfolio updates to investment committee. You will also help source new investments aligned with the fund mandate.
- 5 or more years of portfolio management experience in real estate or private credit
- CFA designation or equivalent is strongly preferred
- Track record of managing institutional capital and presenting to LP committees
- Deep understanding of real estate markets in Toronto and major North American metros
Acquisitions Associate
You will help identify, underwrite, and execute acquisitions across Northstone's target markets. You will manage the full deal process: sourcing, initial underwriting, broker relationships, due diligence coordination, and closing logistics. You are expected to bring deal flow, not just process it.
- 3 to 5 years of acquisitions or transaction advisory experience in real estate
- Strong broker network in Toronto and/or major US markets
- Financial modeling fluency: you can build a waterfall model and defend its assumptions
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous transactions without dropping detail
Director of Asset Management
You will lead asset management across Northstone's owned portfolio, driving NOI improvement, capital allocation decisions, and property-level strategy. You work closely with the acquisitions team on underwriting assumptions, with operations on execution, and with investor relations on portfolio reporting. You are a key voice in investment committee.
- 8 or more years in real estate asset management, with at least 3 years in a director or VP role
- Track record of value creation in a direct-ownership or fund environment
- Strong understanding of debt structures, capital improvements, and leasing strategy
- Experience presenting to institutional LPs and family office investors
